Mechanical Engineer - Configuration Control

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Department, focusing on configuration management, new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing support, and technical documentation. This role involves close collaboration with R&D, production, procurement, and quality teams to facilitate seamless engineering changes, product releases, and process enhancements within an international multidisciplinary setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full life cycle of engineering change orders (ECOs) including impact assessment, documentation updates, and release management.
• Maintain and revise manufacturing and assembly drawings using CAD tools such as SolidWorks and Visio.
• Update and control Bill of Materials (BOM) and related documentation within the Priority ERP system.
• Ensure accuracy and traceability of all engineering documentation.
• Deliver hands-on engineering support during product assembly, integration, and fixture development.
• Train production staff on newly implemented engineering changes and product introductions.
• Document production issues and escalate as needed to appropriate teams.
• Collaborate with procurement and quality teams to ensure part identification accuracy, ERP data integrity, and compliance with quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc., B.E., or B.Tech).
• Prior experience in a mechanical engineering role within a multidisciplinary organization.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and PDM systems.
• Familiarity with Priority ERP or similar enterprise resource planning tools.
• Strong command of technical English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently managing multiple tasks with initiative and ownership.
• Preferred: experience in configuration control, engineering change processes, NPI management, technical documentation preparation, and Visio-based technical diagram creation.
• Experience in production environments and multinational corporations is advantageous.
