About the Role
Our client, located at Dublin Airport, is looking for a knowledgeable Global Freight Administrator to oversee and support international logistics operations across air, sea, and road transport networks. This role focuses on managing global shipments particularly for sectors such as specialist events, trade fairs, sporting events, conferences, and live events.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and coordinate international freight shipments involving air, sea, and road transportation for global event logistics.
- Keep track of shipment timelines, customs clearance progress, and delivery schedules to ensure timely execution.
- Prepare, update, and manage all relevant shipping and customs paperwork required for international freight movement.
- Serve as a liaison point between freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and warehouse facilities to facilitate smooth operations.
- Monitor shipment status and communicate operational updates effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain logistics databases, generate reports, and keep precise freight documentation.
- Assist with freight invoice reconciliation and contribute towards enhancing process efficiencies.
- Ensure all activities adhere strictly to international trade laws and import/export regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience in freight forwarding or logistics is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of import/export documentation and customs clearance procedures is required.
- Familiarity with international transportation methods and logistics operations is essential.
- Experience working with ERP or transport management software is expected.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
