About the Role

This role is within a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald's brand and products, but the franchisee is a distinct employer separate from McDonald's USA. Employment matters including hiring, firing, scheduling, and discipline are handled solely by the franchisee, not McDonald's USA.

Position Overview

The General Manager is accountable for managing a successful and profitable restaurant, ensuring adherence to McDonald's high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This leadership role involves working closely with senior leaders to set restaurant goals and develop strategies to achieve them. The General Manager supervises a team of Department Managers, guiding them to set objectives, monitor progress, and enhance departmental performance which in turn improves overall restaurant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach Department Managers in their daily roles and career development.
• Oversee restaurant operations to meet financial and customer service targets.
• Recruit, hire, and develop Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership team.
• Ensure the restaurant maintains top-tier standards in quality, cleanliness, and service delivery.

Qualifications and Ideal Experience

• Proven previous experience as a General Manager at high volume quick service restaurant locations or relevant retail/hospitality sectors.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage multiple teams effectively.
• Must be at least 18 years old for management roles in corporate-owned McDonald's locations.
