Role Overview

The General Manager position is based onsite at DCM's Brampton headquarters and involves overseeing the strategic and operational functions of the plant. This leadership role is responsible for coordinating production, client services, quality assurance, logistics, and finance to meet customer expectations and achieve financial and corporate goals. The incumbent will champion continuous improvement, uphold safety standards, and represent the site internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete operational performance of the Brampton plant, including production scheduling, quality control, logistics, and client deliverables.
• Lead and mentor department heads and supervisors, focusing on coaching and building succession plans to strengthen the team.
• Develop and sustain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of escalation for service-related issues and supporting sales initiatives to consistently exceed customer expectations.
• Implement local strategies, continuous improvement projects, and technology integrations to enhance site efficiency and competitiveness.
• Ensure product quality, workplace safety, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Oversee the plant's budget and financial outcomes, collaborating with Finance for cost management and capital expenditure planning.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related disciplines; an MBA is advantageous.
• At least 10 years in senior management within manufacturing, ideally in print production and distribution such as labels, forms, commercial print, and direct mail, with strong insights into custom manufacturing.
• Strong financial skills for guiding budgeting and cost control decisions.
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning and operational management, including meeting service level agreements and organizational goals.
• Excellent analytical skills to navigate and resolve operational challenges; knowledge of quality control standards, including ISO, is beneficial.
• Awareness of occupational health and safety standards in manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency across Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel capabilities; familiarity with cost management and ERP systems (MS Dynamics 365 preferred) is a plus.
• Resilience and decisiveness in making tough decisions under pressure.
