Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Resort Manager to oversee the operations of our beautiful Wanaka resort in Otago, New Zealand. This role offers a chance to take full control of resort management, build a motivated team, and deliver outstanding experiences to owners and guests visiting one of New Zealand's most breathtaking locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations across the front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services divisions.
  • Ensure consistently high guest satisfaction by delivering exceptional experiences for owners and visitors alike.
  • Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and track operational key performance indicators.
  • Recruit, lead, and cultivate an engaged, high-performance team atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with regional and corporate units to implement strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Maintain robust relationships with owners, local business partners, and essential stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety procedures, and compliance with New Zealand’s regulatory standards.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to enhance efficiency, service quality, and overall resort performance.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in hotel or resort operations.
  • Comprehensive operational expertise in critical accommodation sectors.
  • Experience in overseeing budgets, financial oversight, and reporting activities.
  • Strong people-centered leadership style capable of fostering team engagement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Practical, hands-on management approach paired with a strong passion for hospitality.
  • Familiarity with New Zealand health, safety, and hospitality regulations is advantageous.
