About the Role
This position is with an independently owned and operated McDonald's franchise, not McDonald's USA. The franchisee holds the license for McDonald's branding and food service but is independently responsible for employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, and scheduling. McDonald’s USA is not involved in employment decisions or application processing for this job.
Job Summary
The General Manager plays a vital role in overseeing a profitable restaurant while ensuring that McDonald's high standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness are consistently met. This is a demanding position that involves setting goals and developing plans in collaboration with leadership to achieve success.
Leadership and Responsibilities
The General Manager leads a team of Department Managers, helping them establish goals, monitor progress, and provide coaching and guidance to improve their departments. This leadership role also includes hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to build a strong team for the restaurant's future.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants have prior General Manager experience managing high volume locations, preferably within quick service restaurants or in hospitality or retail sectors. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify for managerial roles within corporate owned McDonald’s restaurants.
