Job Overview

Join Aramark Canada as a vital member of our Food Services Team in North Bay, Ontario. This role offers an exciting opportunity to explore diverse baking styles and flavors by following established recipes and utilizing advanced baking equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a wide range of food items in line with production protocols and standardized recipes.
• Organize the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment.
• Measure, weigh, mix, and chop ingredients accurately.
• Operate ovens, stoves, mixers, and other kitchen appliances safely and efficiently.
• Use various utensils, including knives, with care and precision.
• Store food products properly by following food safety standards and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment.
• Deliver excellent customer service and uphold a positive attitude when interacting with guests, clients, colleagues, and customers.
• Comply with all Aramark safety guidelines, especially those related to food safety and sanitation.
• Safeguard company property and assets responsibly.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience in baking or related kitchen roles is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of baking techniques, standards, and food safety rules including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.
• Must be willing to obtain relevant food safety certification(s).
• Diligent with basic numerical skills such as counting and measurements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Willingness to wear required uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
