Job Overview

This position involves overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the property grounds to ensure an attractive appearance at all times. Responsibilities cover the care and repair of fountains, planters, and various landscaping features. Tasks include planting and transplanting flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs, as well as keeping flower beds, baskets, and boxes healthy by watering, weeding, trimming, and other routine care. You will also maintain shrubs and trees through pruning and trimming.

Detailed Duties

• Trim and edge areas of grass inaccessible to lawn mowers.
• Maintain lawns with mowing, edging, leaf raking, and other landscaping duties.
• Install and manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering.
• Collect and dispose of trash from exterior receptacles.
• Operate vehicles such as dump trucks, tractors, utility vehicles, and trucks for transporting equipment and materials.
• Clean, wash, and refuel equipment after use to maintain operational readiness.
• Carry out snow removal and ice management where applicable.
• Adhere to safety procedures, report hazards or incidents, and complete required safety trainings.
• Maintain a professional appearance and protect company property at all times.
• Perform physical tasks requiring standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, handling objects up to 50 pounds, and navigating varied terrain including ladders.
• Support the team to achieve shared objectives and perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of related work experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
• Valid Driver’s License is mandatory.
• No supervisory experience required.
