Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a Game Data Analyst to convert player behavior data into actionable insights that impact design and live operations decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of SQL coupled with an understanding of game design principles, addressing questions critical to designers and producers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze player behavior, retention rates, monetization patterns, and engagement metrics.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to support live operations, design, and product teams.
  • Conduct A/B testing for features, balance adjustments, and live event operations.
  • Develop player segmentation strategies and lifecycle analyses.
  • Collaborate with designers and producers for data-driven decision making.
  • Detect data quality issues and work closely with engineering teams on proper data instrumentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in game analytics, product analytics, or data analysis.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced with data warehousing solutions such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI and familiarity with game analytics platforms.
  • Working proficiency in Python or R for performing data analyses.
  • Deep understanding of key game performance indicators including DAU, retention, ARPDAU, and conversion rates.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate data findings into actionable recommendations.
