Job description
About the Role
Join a fast-growing Irish AI startup as a Fullstack Engineer working remotely from Dublin or elsewhere. The company has developed an AI-driven platform to streamline complex operational workflows, replacing outdated spreadsheets and disconnected tools used by many enterprises today. With a live product already adopted by multiple enterprise customers, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to the next stages of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Create new user-facing features using React
- Build backend services utilizing Node.js and TypeScript
- Design APIs and structure data models
- Work with PostgreSQL databases and AWS infrastructure
- Develop integrations connecting to external platforms
- Implement workflow automation capabilities
- Contribute to AI-powered functionalities within the product
- Collaborate closely with founders and product teams
- Deliver, gather feedback, and iteratively improve features
Technologies and Skills
The main technology stack encompasses TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS. While prior AI or large language model (LLM) experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Strong software engineering fundamentals are prioritized over specific technologies. Candidates with expertise in other technologies are welcome, as the team values adaptability.
Candidate Profile
This position suits someone who has hands-on experience building and launching real software products and desires substantial ownership within a startup or scaling environment. Ideally, candidates will be proficient with modern JavaScript frameworks and comfortable switching between frontend and backend tasks. The role does not require senior titles such as Principal Engineer or Architect but seeks an independent, problem-solving developer who thrives in an evolving context where requirements may be incomplete.
Work Environment
The company operates primarily remotely, with occasional in-person meetups in Dublin every few weeks. The small team works closely with product decision-makers, allowing engineers to influence platform direction significantly. There are active customers to gather insights from and ample opportunities for professional growth as the company expands.
Additional Information
The organization is committed to equal opportunity and encourages candidates requiring accommodations during recruitment to contact them directly. High application volumes mean only candidates meeting specific role criteria will be shortlisted, and individualized feedback may not be provided.
