Full-Time Framing Manager with Benefits

About the Role

Position available at the Kingston, Ontario store. Lead and develop a team of framing professionals focused on delivering personalized framing solutions that enhance customer experience. Drive sales of custom framing services while fostering a collaborative sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), compliance with laws, and company standards, maintaining store condition and outcomes.
• Coach and develop team selling skills and behaviors.
• Oversee the on-time delivery of superior custom framing solutions through effective workload planning with store leadership.
• Meet personal KPIs and manage the framing team to achieve their performance targets.
• Analyze sales and production demands to optimize sales floor staffing and build customer networks.
• Handle inventory management and execute shrinkage control and safety programs as assigned.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when required.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of team members; engage in talent development and leadership growth.
• Collaborate daily with fellow MODs to uphold framing department expectations.
• Promote a positive, respectful work environment and embody company values as a leadership role model.
• Assist with receiving shipments by unloading trucks and stocking merchandise efficiently and within budget.
• Follow all SOPs and company policies to maintain a safe workplace.
• Provide customer service by greeting patrons, locating products, and offering framing solutions.
• Support omni-channel retail processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Basic proficiency with computers is required.
• Preferred: prior experience in custom framing and retail management.
• Experience managing and leading a sales team is highly desirable.

Physical and Workplace Demands

• Regular activity includes bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to move freely throughout the store and stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift heavy boxes and frames, and use ladders or similar tools for high shelving.
• Support for accommodations in case of limitations related to these activities.

Work Environment

• Public retail store setting focused on customer service.
• Climate-controlled public areas; some storage rooms may lack climate control.
• Occasional outdoor tasks such as cart retrieval and truck unloading.
• Frame shop equipment includes glass cutters and heat presses.
• Work schedule includes nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range for this position is $18.60 to $22.90 per hour. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision), paid time off, tuition assistance, and substantial employee discounts. Benefits apply to both full-time and part-time team members.
