Job Summary

This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, cookware, kitchen equipment, and work areas. The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring all kitchen utensils and surfaces meet hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove food residues from dirty dishes by scraping and rinsing; wash dishes by hand or use designated dishwashing equipment as assigned, ensuring thorough cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays following prescribed procedures and maintain sanitation standards.
• Polish silverware using machines, chemical treatments, buffing wheels, or by hand, adhering to cleanliness guidelines.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor and adjust temperatures and chemical levels according to specified standards.
• Keep dishwashing areas orderly and compliant with safety regulations.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly to meet safety and cleanliness requirements.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
• Dispose of trash properly and maintain garbage cans by steam cleaning or hosing out as necessary.
• Assist in transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help with loading and unloading supplies and products.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Work Schedule and Location

Position is based at 1455 Third Street, San Francisco, CA 94158. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, with shifts from either 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Further scheduling details will be provided during the interview process.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this role is $24.00. An internal employee referral bonus is available.
