Position Overview

The Cashier (Front-End Associate) plays a critical role by directing customers to open registers and providing support at assisted check-outs throughout the store. The primary duty is to deliver prompt and accurate transaction processing following our GET checkout protocol.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply the GET Involved customer service approach by greeting each customer warmly, engaging during transactions, and expressing gratitude for their patronage.
• Use product and service knowledge to make relevant suggestions that satisfy customer needs.
• Treat customers and colleagues with genuine appreciation and minimize wait times by acknowledging those in line.
• Promote additional services such as Credit options, Extended Warranties, Tool Rentals, and Professional Services.
• Adhere strictly to all Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
• Implement front-end processes designed to reduce shrinkage and protect store assets.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Tasks involve bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
• Work schedule may be flexible including evenings and weekends.
• Work environment is a warehouse setting which may be noisy and dusty; frequent open doors may result in drafts and temperature changes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in retail or cash handling preferred.
