Role Overview

We seek a Full-Stack Engineer to become a key member of our technical development team. This role involves architecting the system, coding production-ready software, integrating third-party APIs, and personally delivering the initial product version. Collaboration with the product designer and functioning as the primary developer at the start will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the current product and technical documentation.
• Translate requirements into a concrete engineering plan and manage backlog tasks.
• Detect technical challenges, missing features, and dependencies.
• Architect and build the frontend, backend, databases, and service integrations.
• Develop the initial responsive web platform from development to deployment.
• Integrate and test WhatsApp Business workflows early in development.
• Implement secure processes including authentication, authorization, and account recovery.
• Ensure protection of personal contact data by separating public and private information.
• Manage webhooks securely, handling failed messages, retries, and duplicate events.
• Create secure admin and moderation tools.
• Establish and maintain local, staging, and production environments.
• Handle deployment processes, monitoring, backup, recovery, and cost management.
• Write automated tests targeting critical functions and privacy safeguards.
• Document technical and operational procedures clearly.
• Provide regular demonstrations showcasing functional software.
• Communicate risks, technical decisions, and trade-offs transparently.
• Assist in recruiting and mentoring additional developers as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Proven track record of independently delivering a production web application from concept through launch.
• Expertise with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js or a similar full-stack framework.
• Strong skills in PostgreSQL and relational database design.
• Experience in designing and documenting secure APIs.
• Capability to integrate third-party APIs and manage webhooks.
• Familiarity with background jobs, queue systems, retry mechanisms, and idempotent processes.
• Good understanding of authentication, authorization, and role-based access control.
• Knowledge of privacy practices, encryption, and secure handling of personal data.
• Experience with cloud deployments, monitoring, and production issue resolution.
• Ability to develop responsive, accessible, and refined user interfaces.
• Capacity to work autonomously and make informed early product decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Experience

• Work with Meta WhatsApp Cloud API or official WhatsApp providers like Twilio.
• Experience with Supabase or similar managed services for database, authentication, and storage.
• Creating applications supporting Arabic and English, including right-to-left text.
• Background in creator economy platforms, SaaS, marketplaces, or messaging systems.
• Development of privacy-sensitive communication platforms.
• Creating PDF or digital media kits.
• Experience with React Native or Expo for future mobile development projects.
• Integrations involving payment providers or marketplace payments.
• Experience in technical hiring, mentoring or leading small teams.
