Senior Full Stack Developer

HoneyQuote is at the forefront of insurance technology innovation, operating a digital insurance agency powered by a unique search engine that helps clients compare and buy insurance policies across various products including homeowners, condo, and flood insurance. Located in Bengaluru, India, HoneyQuote partners with leading insurance carriers aiming to transform how insurance is shopped both in Florida and beyond.

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer who will be accountable for developing end-to-end features, from backend APIs and data management layers to frontend user interfaces. This role offers significant autonomy and ownership with opportunities to influence the architecture of a live, revenue-generating InsurTech platform.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and sustain full-featured applications using Node.js, NestJS on the backend and React.js / Next.js on the frontend.
• Manage backend services, APIs, and frontend workflows with a strong focus on product outcomes.
• Utilize MongoDB and Redis to create efficient data storage and caching mechanisms.
• Create and maintain Docker containerized services alongside CI/CD pipelines to ensure dependable deployment cycles.
• Implement asynchronous event-driven components using Service Bus and Kafka messaging systems.
• Collaborate extensively with product managers, design teams, and engineering leads to deliver high-impact features.
• Play an active role in architectural decisions, performance tuning, and ensuring system scalability and reliability.

Required Experience & Skills

• 6 to 8 years of proven experience in full stack software development with a solid engineering base.
• Advanced proficiency with backend technologies Node.js and NestJS.
• Strong command of modern frontend frameworks including React.js and Next.js.
• Experience with MongoDB database management and the use of Redis for caching purposes.
• In-depth knowledge of API design methodologies and best industry practices.
• Hands-on expertise in Azure cloud services and embracing cloud-native development approaches.
• Practical experience working with Docker, managing CI/CD pipelines, and employing contemporary DevOps techniques.
• Familiarity with message queue implementations and event-based systems such as Service Bus and Kafka.
• A motivated ownership mindset combined with strong engineering fundamentals and a focus on quality at scale.
