Job description
About the Role
We seek an experienced Full Stack Developer Trainer to conduct live, interactive online training sessions remotely for students and working professionals in the USA. This part-time position focuses on delivering hands-on, practical instruction rather than performing full-time software development. The trainer will mentor learners in contemporary frontend/back-end technologies, cloud infrastructure, containerization, AI-integrated engineering, and system design.
Responsibilities
- Conduct live instructor-led training aligned with US time zones for learners in the USA.
- Teach frontend development using HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React.
- Explain client-side state management with React Hooks, Context API, Redux Toolkit, and React Query.
- Provide backend development training with Node.js, Express, REST API design, layered architecture, and GraphQL basics.
- Implement authentication and authorization including JWT, session handling, and Role-Based Access Control.
- Guide hands-on database work with PostgreSQL (using ORMs like Prisma or Sequelize), MongoDB, schema design, indexing, migrations, and optimization.
- Deliver labs on automated testing and code quality tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Supertest, Cypress/Playwright, ESLint, and Prettier.
- Teach DevOps fundamentals including Docker, Docker Compose, and CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Instruct on deploying applications and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS services including S3, CloudFront, EC2, ECS, and RDS.
- Train learners on AI-enhanced full stack engineering by integrating Large Language Model APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) into web projects with safe prompt engineering.
- Explain system design topics such as caching, load balancing, microservices versus monoliths, and application security practices like OWASP Top 10 and secure secrets management.
- Mentor through capstone projects with code reviews, debugging, architecture guidance, and portfolio preparation.
- Conduct mock technical and behavioral interviews with feedback to prepare learners for software engineering roles in the US.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development roles including Full Stack, Frontend, or Backend Engineer.
- Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Express.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB), including schema design and ORM usage.
- Hands-on skills using Docker and Docker Compose for containerization, plus automating builds and tests via GitHub Actions.
- Practical knowledge of deploying to AWS and using managed cloud hosting services.
- Familiarity with integrating AI Large Language Model APIs into applications and AI-enhanced development workflows.
- Strong grasp of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress), and security best practices.
- Excellent English verbal and presentation skills suited for teaching technical content to a US-based audience.
- Preferred experience includes technical training, mentoring, bootcamp coaching, or leading engineering teams.
- Availability to conduct training sessions during US Eastern Standard Time morning or evening hours.
Preferred Certifications
- AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate.
- Meta Front-End or Back-End Developer Professional Certificate.
- Other recognized software engineering or cloud certifications.
