About the Role
Become part of a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store where your efforts support health, beauty, and convenience services within the community, keeping customers at the forefront of all activities.
Role Importance
This position involves leading customer service operations, including supervising cashier staff, managing cash handling, and ensuring merchandising standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee cashier and merchandising teams to ensure adherence to store policies and procedures.
- Conduct training and continual coaching for cashiers and merchandisers.
- Implement and monitor loss prevention protocols, including managing cash office inventory and tracking cashier activities.
- Manage customer service standards by addressing inquiries about products, refund or exchange issues, and promoting customer satisfaction initiatives such as the CSI Survey.
- Maintain store presentation by ensuring staff comply with uniform policies and that shelving and product displays are clean, organized, and appropriately rotated as directed.
- Keep the store environment clean and visually appealing, meeting housekeeping and health and safety standards.
- Handle clerical and banking duties as needed, and participate in cashier duties when required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to plan effectively, exercise good judgment, and make sound decisions.
- Independent organizational skills tailored to store management needs.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with computers and efficient time management.
- Good knowledge of store products and supplies.
Additional Information
The role pays between $15.80 and $17.50 per hour, with compensation varying based on experience and location. This is an existing vacancy requiring onsite presence.
