Food & Beverage Supervisor

Position Overview

The Food & Beverage Supervisor role at Autograph Collection located in Doha, Qatar, is focused on leading a team to deliver exceptional guest service in a dynamic hospitality environment. This position requires oversight of daily operations, ensuring staff collaboration, and maintaining high standards in both service and appearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support staff teamwork to optimize guest experiences and service quality.
• Conduct regular inspections of employees' grooming and attire, addressing any shortcomings promptly.
• Handle opening and closing procedures including preparation of supplies, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing premises.
• Organize and inspect storage spaces to maintain cleanliness, proper stock rotation using FIFO methods, and inventory accuracy.
• Perform scheduled stock inventories and requisition supplies as needed.
• Supervise dining areas to manage seating availability, service efficiency, guest safety, and overall wellbeing.
• Initiate and track maintenance requests through work order completion.
• Assist management in recruitment, training, staff scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
• Serve as a role model and primary contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
• Comply with all company, safety, and security guidelines; report accidents and unsafe conditions; and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure professional personal appearance, safeguard company assets, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome guests according to company protocols; anticipate and fulfill their service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Foster positive relationships within the team, supporting common objectives and responding empathetically to colleagues’ concerns.
• Maintain adherence to quality standards, recommending and implementing improvements for efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost savings.
• Perform physical tasks such as visual inspections of tools and equipment, standing or walking extended periods, moving up to 50 pounds, fine motor activities, navigating confined or elevated spaces, climbing stairs or ramps, and bending or twisting as necessary.
• Carry out additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• A minimum of two years in related food and beverage roles.
• At least one year of supervisory experience within the hospitality or related industry.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
