Role Overview
As a Food & Beverage Manager, your role will center on driving exceptional dining experiences through superb service, operational excellence, and inspirational leadership. You will manage the hotel’s food and beverage functions to uphold premium guest satisfaction, maintain rigorous service standards, and ensure robust financial health, all while fostering professional growth among team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and nurture the Food & Beverage team to consistently deliver outstanding service and operational performance.
- Oversee daily operations across multiple dining venues to ensure seamless and efficient service delivery.
- Directly manage high-volume catering and Food & Beverage events, maintaining a strong hands-on presence on the floor to uphold excellence.
- Ensure all outlets present luxury hospitality experiences aligned with brand standards.
- Track service quality, guest satisfaction, productivity, and operational compliance with internal policies and brand expectations.
- Devise and implement strategies aimed at maximizing revenue, profitability, guest delight, and overall performance of Food & Beverage services.
- Handle financial responsibilities including profit and loss oversight, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and achieving departmental targets.
- Manage food and beverage expenses, labor costs, inventory, procurement, and minimize waste effectively.
- Collaborate extensively with the Kitchen, Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, and other departments for flawless hotel operations.
- Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness, service presentation, brand compliance, and service standards.
- Address guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally to foster loyalty.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, ongoing training, coaching, and performance assessments of team members.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes.
- Ensure health, safety, hygiene, food safety, and other regulatory compliance across Food & Beverage operations.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance workplace culture by leading through example.
Qualifications and Experience
- A deep passion for luxury hospitality, exceptional guest experience, and service excellence.
- At least five years in managerial roles within Food & Beverage, including experience as a Restaurant Manager or General Manager.
- Minimum two years experience as an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or head of Food & Beverage operations.
- At least five years managerial experience in the Middle East/GCC region, ideally in Dubai or Doha.
- Prior work in a 5-star luxury environment and managing large-scale operations preferred.
- Proven capability managing multiple outlets, catering services, and large-volume operations.
- Operationally engaged with a strong presence on the floor.
- Comprehensive knowledge of P&L, budgeting, cost management, and financial aspects of Food & Beverage departments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid understanding and implementation of luxury hospitality brand standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Food & Beverage POS systems considered advantageous.
- Availability to work flexible hours including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
