Florist - Retail

Job Overview

This is a permanent position based in a florist shop, working 30 to 40 hours per week. The work language is French. The role requires a secondary school graduation certificate and 3 to 5 years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Handle payments through cash, cheque, credit card, or automatic debit.
• Operate the cash register efficiently.
• Utilize computerized systems to maintain inventory records and manage reordering.
• Offer expert advice about available merchandise.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patrons.
• Assist in arranging merchandise displays attractively.
• Greet customers, discussing their needs regarding types, quality, and quantity of floral products or services.
• Keep sales records to support inventory control.
• Prepare merchandise for sale, rental, or lease.
• Create floral arrangements by designing bouquets with natural and artificial flowers along with decorative accessories.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Fast-paced setting requiring work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Tasks require manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Physical activities include bending, crouching, kneeling, and repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to distinguish colors accurately.
