At Star Construction, LLC, the Flagger role plays a crucial part in ensuring the safety of the public by managing traffic flow around active work zones. You will engage in flagging tasks and assist in keeping construction areas secure for pedestrians and vehicles alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct traffic safely around construction zones using hand signals and signage.
• Set up and manage safety equipment such as flags, cones, signs, and markers.
• Assist with general construction tasks as directed by supervisors or foremen.
• Operate vehicles responsibly adhering to company safety protocols.
• Comply with local, state, and federal Department of Transportation standards.
• Maintain and clean company vehicles and related equipment regularly.
• Work outdoors under varying weather conditions.
• Perform any additional duties assigned to support the construction team.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or comparable work experience.
• Hold a valid State driver's license (non-provisional) with a clean driving history.
• Prior flagging experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Regular independent work in remote locations.
• Physical activities including bending, stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting between 10-25 pounds.
• Fine motor skills such as keyboard and mouse use.
• Occasional lifting of 26-55 pounds and working with arms raised above shoulder height.
