About the Role

As a Flagger I with Star Construction LLC based in Alabaster, AL, you will be responsible for maintaining safe passage for the public around active construction sites by managing and directing traffic flow.

Primary Duties

• Manage and control traffic at work zones using hand signals and paddles
• Set up flags, cones, signage, and markers as required
• Assist with general construction tasks under direction from supervisors or foremen
• Operate vehicles responsibly following company driving policies
• Comply with traffic regulations at local, state, and federal DOT levels
• Maintain cleanliness and proper care of company vehicles and equipment
• Perform job functions in various weather conditions
• Undertake additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Eligibility to work legally in the United States for this employer
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant experience
• Valid state driver’s license (non-provisional) with an acceptable driving record
• Prior experience in flagging preferred but not mandatory

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Regularly expected to work independently in remote areas, operate vehicles, perform tasks requiring squeezing, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, walking, standing, and fine hand movements
• Occasionally lift weights between 26 to 55 pounds and work with arms elevated above shoulder height
