Job Summary

The Fire Fighter at Adani Airports Holding Limited is responsible for responding swiftly to emergencies involving aircraft fires, structural fires, medical issues, hazardous materials, and other critical situations within the airport premises. This position ensures the protection and security of passengers, crew, and airport staff by carrying out firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to emergencies on airport grounds, including aircraft incidents, structural fires, and hazardous material situations.
  • Execute firefighting techniques utilizing water, foam, dry chemicals, and other agents to suppress fires effectively.
  • Conduct search and rescue operations within smoke-filled or hazardous environments ensuring safety of individuals.
  • Administer first aid and basic life support until advanced medical staff take over.
  • Assist in patient transport to medical centres when necessary.
  • Perform daily inspections and upkeep of firefighting vehicles, equipment, and personal protective gear to maintain operational readiness.
  • Manage inventory of firefighting supplies ensuring all gear is ready for deployment.
  • Participate actively in training exercises, ICAO-mandated drills, and emergency response simulations.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate incident, training, and shift documentation for compliance and audits.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable firefighting and emergency response regulations and standards.
  • Identify and address potential hazards during routine patrols and safety inspections.
  • Work closely with airport operations, security teams, emergency medical services, and external fire agencies during incidents and drills.
  • Coordinate emergency efforts with Duty Managers, Air Traffic Control, and other airport authorities to streamline response activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or a comparable certification from an accredited firefighting institute.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in firefighting, preferably with background in Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) operations.
