Role Overview

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of PopStroke’s grounds and facilities. This includes conducting routine inspections, performing various repair and maintenance tasks across multiple trades, ensuring cleanliness, and supporting landscaping and storm preparedness activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of facilities to identify repair needs, safety risks, and landscaping tasks.
• Execute maintenance duties such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC upkeep.
• Perform landscaping work and monitor irrigation and misting systems.
• Maintain cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, pressure washing, and trash management, including operation of trash compactors.
• Monitor supply inventories and replenish them as needed.
• Promptly report facility issues or hazards to supervisory staff.
• Complete maintenance documentation and checklists.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and post-storm recovery operations.
• Comply rigorously with safety policies to ensure a secure environment for employees and guests.
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
• Work effectively in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance and landscaping fieldwork.
• Proficiency in basic repair techniques across multiple disciplines including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of proper handling and use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays as needed.
• Strong communication abilities and capacity for teamwork.

Physical Requirements

• Capability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Competency in safely managing equipment and cleaning substances.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position ranges between $16 and $22.
