Role Overview

The Facilities Technician role involves maintaining and enhancing the grounds and facilities to create a safe, clean, and guest-ready environment. This team member will conduct regular inspections, perform repairs and maintenance across various trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC, as well as landscaping and cleaning duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect the facility regularly to detect maintenance needs, safety issues, and landscaping requirements.
• Undertake repair and maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC servicing.
• Execute landscaping duties to keep outdoor areas well-maintained.
• Monitor and maintain the misting system functionality.
• Keep all areas safe and clean using methods such as sweeping, mopping, and pressure washing.
• Track and replenish necessary supplies.
• Promptly report any maintenance issues or hazards to supervisors.
• Complete maintenance checklists as required.
• Assist in preparing for and recovering from storms.
• Manage trash disposal, including operating the trash compactor safely and maintaining cleanliness around it.
• Adhere to safety protocols to protect guests and employees.
• Support special projects and other assigned duties.
• Operate in both indoor and outdoor settings efficiently.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Prior experience in facilities maintenance and landscaping.
• Knowledge of basic repair techniques and landscaping practices.
• Skillful and safe operation of maintenance and landscaping equipment and tools.
• Experience using cleaning chemicals appropriately and safely.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Physical Requirements

• Capability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull weights up to 30 pounds.
• Competence in safely handling equipment, tools, cleaning products, and chemicals.

Compensation and Additional Information

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $18 to $22. The role is non-exempt and requires onsite presence in Daytona Beach, FL.
