Facilities Manager – Electromechanical Maintenance

About the Role

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and management of electromechanical maintenance services, ensuring the steady and efficient operation of building systems within assigned facilities. This role demands adherence to contractual obligations and regulatory standards while fostering technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day operations of electromechanical and technical facility management services.
• Supervise systems including electrical, mechanical, Extra Low Voltage (ELV), control systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC), elevators, and fire safety installations.
• Coordinate preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability.
• Lead and manage teams comprising engineers, supervisors, technicians, and specialist contractors.
• Maintain oversight of technical performance metrics and troubleshoot operational challenges as they arise.
• Ensure all activities comply with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) guidelines and relevant standards.
• Evaluate service delivery performance and implement necessary improvements.
• Oversee resource planning and manage multiple technical teams simultaneously.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders to align operations with expectations.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in facility management roles.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale FM/electromechanical projects within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
• Preferred experience of 3 years in maintenance management for schools and kindergartens.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, ELV, BMS, HVAC, elevator, fire protection, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written Arabic and English.
• Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or Sustainable Facilities Professional (SFP) are advantageous.
• Qatar Civil Defence Department (QCDD) certification is preferable.
• Grade A classification from Kahramaa or equivalent local regulatory authority is desirable.
