Facilities Engineer – Electromechanical

Job Overview

The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of electromechanical systems in buildings, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in line with the relevant technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and manage preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Supervise and monitor electrical, mechanical, ELV (Extra Low Voltage), HVAC, and other electromechanical systems.
• Perform thorough technical inspections and determine maintenance needs.
• Diagnose technical malfunctions and propose appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate activities among supervisors, technicians, and external specialist contractors.
• Track system performance and reliability metrics.
• Ensure full compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards and all relevant technical requirements.
• Generate detailed technical reports and recommendations for maintenance.
• Assist in planning and supervising the technical workforce.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in Facility Management.
• Demonstrated experience working on projects of similar scale within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
• In-depth understanding of electrical, mechanical, and ELV systems.
• Knowledge of the technical standards relevant to Qatar.
• Familiarity with Quality Management systems and QHSE compliance standards.
• Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages, including speaking and writing skills.
• Holding a Qatar Civil Defence Department (QCDD) certification is favorable.
• Grade B classification by Kahramaa or equivalent recognition by competent authorities is preferred.
