Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Operations Specialist to oversee and support the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring robust systems, cybersecurity resilience, and efficient daily technology operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining secure and dependable IT systems, offering expert technical support, managing Microsoft-based technologies and infrastructure, liaising with technology vendors, and enhancing IT operations continuously.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure including networks, servers, endpoints, and associated systems.
- Administer environments such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Azure, and Active Directory.
- Manage user endpoints, accounts, access permissions, and IT assets effectively.
- Ensure robust backup, recovery, and data protection protocols, alongside business continuity support.
- Continuously monitor system performance, availability, and security to uphold infrastructure health.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical challenges.
- Support cybersecurity efforts encompassing vulnerability management and access control enforcement.
- Handle employee IT onboarding and offboarding procedures including device and access management.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, procedural guides, asset tracking, and knowledge resources.
- Coordinate with IT vendors, software and hardware suppliers, and service providers for smooth operations.
- Review software licenses and IT services to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in evaluating and deploying new IT technologies and solutions.
- Participate in internal IT projects, system upgrades, and initiatives related to digital workplace enhancements.
- Prioritize IT incidents and infrastructure needs aligned with business priorities.
- Provide after-hours or weekend technical support for critical incidents or scheduled maintenance when necessary.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, system administration, and technical support roles.
- At least 3 to 5 years in senior, supervisory, or technical lead positions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite, Microsoft Intune, Azure cloud services, and endpoint management tools.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory and hybrid Active Directory environments.
- Hands-on experience with backup and recovery tools like Veeam.
- Good knowledge of networking fundamentals including firewalls and network security practices.
- Experience in managing information security, cybersecurity frameworks, compliance, vulnerability assessments, and audit preparations.
- Familiarity with IT vendor management, software licensing, and technology expenditure optimization.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective technical documentation capabilities and communication with stakeholders.
- Proven ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and support diverse business demands.
- Availability for occasional after-hours or weekend work in response to critical IT needs.
