Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer to join our R&D team and drive Wiz's expansion. This role involves designing, developing, maintaining, testing, and monitoring large-scale distributed backend software systems, focusing on clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Candidates should be passionate about scaling challenges and enjoy collaborative multidisciplinary teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete lifecycle development of backend components including research, design, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Participate in technology and architectural decision-making processes.
- Perform design and code evaluations.
- Analyze and enhance backend systems for improved efficiency, scalability, and stability.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Frontend and DevOps to deliver high-quality features.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 6 years of backend engineering experience with languages like Java, C#, or Golang.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with database systems and message queue technologies.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Hands-on experience or knowledge of Golang, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Neptune, Docker, and Kubernetes.
