Role Overview

The Expediter's role centers on enhancing customer experience by managing the flow of all outgoing food orders. This position demands coordination between kitchen and service teams to ensure meals meet high quality and presentation standards before reaching guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming food orders, accurately managing approximately 15% of the order flow.
• Track tickets and ensure cooking times meet or surpass defined standards, accounting for about 20% of job duties.
• Act as the communication link between service personnel and kitchen staff, roughly 5% of the role.
• Finalize all plate presentations strictly following recipe and presentation guidelines, comprising 30% of tasks.
• Perform final quality control checks for presentation, temperature, garnishes, and timing, representing about 5% of responsibilities.
• Manage coordination of food delivery via food runners, about 20% of duties.
• Maintain the expediter station's cleanliness, organization, and inventory throughout the shift, about 5% of tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements

Physical Demands

This role requires frequent movement throughout the restaurant and interaction with guests, handling items weighing up to five pounds regularly and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Bending and stooping are frequent physical actions. Visual acuity is necessary for maintaining cleanliness standards and operating touchscreen technology.
