Role Overview
As Executive Manager, Strategy, you will spearhead the formulation of IAG New Zealand's strategic vision. Working closely with the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board, you will shape decisions that foster long-term growth and competitive edge. Utilizing thorough market knowledge, commercial analysis, and strategic insight, you will advise senior leaders, ensuring divisional priorities align with the overall enterprise strategy and that strategic objectives translate into impactful outcomes for customers and the business. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Auckland (Tāmaki Makaurau).
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the creation of IAG NZ's strategic direction, turning organizational ambitions into defined priorities and actionable plans.
- Provide insights and suggestions rooted in market trends, competitor activity, and internal performance metrics.
- Lead strategic planning sessions with senior executives to guarantee coherence between long-term goals, business planning, and execution.
- Critically evaluate and enhance strategic projects and business cases to maximize benefits for customers, commerce, and the organization.
- Establish robust relationships with senior management, serving as a reliable advisor on strategy and organizational transformation.
Candidate Profile
- Substantial experience in directing strategy development within major corporations or consulting environments.
- A proven track record in crafting and executing enterprise or divisional strategies effectively.
- Strong commercial understanding with an aptitude for managing uncertainty, complexity, and competing demands.
- Exceptional communication, persuasion, and stakeholder engagement capabilities, including experience working with executive and board-level leaders.
- Adept at converting market, economic, technological, and competitive data into practical strategic recommendations.
