Role Summary
We are seeking a Guidewire Developer committed to advancing, enhancing, and maintaining Guidewire applications within our technology ecosystem. Working as part of an Agile delivery team, you will focus on delivering robust, high-quality technology solutions. This role requires collaboration across multiple stakeholders and active participation in continuous platform improvements. The position is full-time and permanent based in our Auckland (Tāmaki Makaurau) and Wellington (Te Whanganui-a-Tara) offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions aligned with business goals.
- Work collaboratively with fellow developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to build reliable technical solutions.
- Engage in code reviews, testing processes, and deployment efforts to uphold software quality and stability.
- Analyze and resolve defects and issues affecting applications and production environments.
- Drive continuous software development process improvements and enforce best practices.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimations, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Candidate Profile and Required Experience
- A background of 2 to 3 years in software development or application engineering.
- Direct, practical experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows and deployment pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies and environments.
- Exposure to the Guidewire Cloud Platform is advantageous.
- General knowledge of insurance products, with preference for those specializing in General Insurance.
- Awareness of automation, monitoring solutions, or DevOps approaches.
