Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Developer to join our Agile delivery teams to develop, enhance, and maintain Guidewire applications across our technology ecosystem. This role focuses heavily on Guidewire PolicyCenter and offers an environment to grow your technical expertise collaboratively. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne), or Meanjin (Brisbane).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and support Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions tailored to business needs.
- Engage with fellow developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality technical outputs.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and assist with deployments to uphold quality and system stability.
- Identify and troubleshoot application defects and live production issues promptly.
- Contribute to continuous improvement processes and uphold software development best practices.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, estimations, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Candidate Profile
- 2 to 3 years of experience in software development or application engineering roles.
- Practical experience working with Guidewire PolicyCenter platform.
- Familiarity with source control management tools including GitHub or Bitbucket.
- Knowledge or exposure to Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving mindset.
- Proven experience working within Agile team environments.
- Exposure to Guidewire Cloud Platform is desirable.
- Understanding of general insurance products is advantageous.
- Awareness of automation, monitoring, or DevOps-related practices preferred.
