Role Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site, virtual, and desktop property damage assessments with customers or in conjunction with panel repairers.
• Evaluate, approve, or reject repair scopes ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality workmanship.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with customers regarding claim decisions, timelines, and updates.
• Assist Claims Managers in addressing complex customer concerns and supporting vulnerable clients.
• Document property loss or damage with detailed reports and evidence.
• Focus on cost management, repair quality assurance, and ongoing process improvements.
• Identify and manage risks, escalate suspected fraud, and ensure adherence to policies and legal regulations.
• Provide feedback on repairer performance and propose enhancements to improve customer outcomes.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates are decisive professionals with a balance of technical know-how and customer-centric attitude. They demonstrate organizational skills, resilience, and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic setting.

Essential Qualifications

• Trade qualification or formal certification in building or related trades.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate IV in General Insurance or equivalent.
• Diploma in Loss Adjusting.
• Certified tradesperson within the building industry.
• Prior experience in assessing, supervision, or construction roles.
• Willingness and ability to assess claims state-wide, including regular travel.
• Strong customer service aptitude, with capacity to manage expectations empathetically both face-to-face and by phone.
• Broad experience in insurance and property claims sectors.
• Excellent written communication skills to produce comprehensive assessment reports.
