About the Role
We are collaborating with a prominent specialist contractor in Ireland, known for delivering major construction projects. In response to ongoing expansion, we invite a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join a cooperative commercial team. This role offers a chance to work on exciting projects and advance your professional journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage project costs starting from inception through to the final account settlement.
- Develop and prepare budgets, cost planning documents, and financial reports to support projects.
- Handle procurement processes for subcontractors and manage related commercial contracts.
- Evaluate variations, conduct valuations, and review contractor claims thoroughly.
- Track project performance metrics and identify opportunities to optimize commercial outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site personnel to ensure alignment and success.
- Contribute to successful project completions while exercising stringent commercial control measures.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Approximately 3 to 5 years of commercial experience within construction or engineering sectors.
- Thorough knowledge of contracts and commercial procedures used in construction.
- Strong analytical capabilities paired with effective negotiation skills.
- Confidence in communication with the ability to cultivate strong professional relationships.
- Self-driven and proactive with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience in specialist construction areas such as façade, windows, or building envelope projects is a plus but not mandatory.
