Estimation & Technical Office Engineer - Waterproofing & Epoxy Flooring

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Estimation & Technical Office Engineer specialized in waterproofing and epoxy flooring to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing project documentation and preparing detailed cost estimates and technical submittals to support project tenders and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and review project drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documents thoroughly.
• Accurately calculate quantities for waterproofing, epoxy flooring, and associated construction activities.
• Develop precise cost estimates and commercial quotations aligned with project needs.
• Create competitive pricing strategies encompassing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted work.
• Obtain, assess, and manage quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Continuously monitor market prices for materials and services to maintain updated pricing databases.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including submittals and method statements as needed.
• Propose appropriate technical systems and materials based on project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Procurement, and Project Operations teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in proposals.
• Ensure all estimations and quotations are technically sound, commercially accurate, and submitted within deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related field.
• Experience in estimation and technical office functions, ideally within waterproofing, epoxy flooring, protective coatings, or related construction sectors.
• In-depth understanding of construction materials, systems, and application techniques.
• Proficiency in quantity take-off, cost estimation, and pricing strategies.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with estimation software is advantageous.
• Strong analytical abilities paired with excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Capability to perform effectively under pressure and meet strict tender submission deadlines.
