Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced ERP Project Director to lead the delivery of a comprehensive enterprise ERP program. This leadership role includes overseeing design, development, testing, and deployment to meet defined business objectives. The director will engage hands-on with key functional areas including Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and Business Development, bridging technical and functional teams to ensure coordinated solution delivery throughout the project life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Direct hands-on project management, including execution planning, governance, and progress reporting during the project lifecycle.
• Ensure integration and alignment of program plans, scope, schedules, and interdependencies across all project areas.
• Coordinate planning and delivery across requirements gathering, design, build, testing, data management, integrations, and both functional and technical domains.
• Monitor and manage project resourcing, ensuring adequate personnel within PM Group and among partner vendors.
• Establish and enforce governance structures to oversee daily ERP project operations, solution validation checkpoints, decision-making processes, dependency management, and risk mitigation.
• Lead technical governance forums such as Design Review Authority, promoting adherence to design principles and key architectural decisions.
• Facilitate best practices across configuration, testing, systems integration, environment strategies, release planning, and change control procedures.
• Guide the overarching ERP solution architecture covering functional, technical, and integration perspectives and lead related cross-functional reviews.
• Manage daily relationships with ERP vendors, implementation partners, and third-party technical teams to ensure coordinated delivery.
• Oversee vendor deliverables, ensuring compliance with SLAs and technical documentation standards.
• Validate and oversee the ERP cutover strategy, including detailed planning, readiness activities, success criteria, and entry/exit checkpoints for go-live.
• Ensure business readiness preparation and track delivery progress diligently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a similar field.
• Professional ERP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate) are desired.
• Minimum 10 years in ERP project management with direct experience leading comprehensive ERP implementations involving systems like SAP, Oracle, Deltek, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Familiarity with cloud-based ERP platforms and digital transformation initiatives.
• Proven track record managing systems integrators and vendor teams for ERP deployments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills capable of conveying complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders and tailoring communications appropriately.
• Exceptional planning and coordination abilities geared toward effective large-scale program execution.

Location

This is a hybrid position located at either our Cork or Dublin offices.
