Role Overview

As an Equipment Technician, you will be integral in supporting the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams, your focus will be on ensuring equipment reliability, maximizing productivity, and maintaining product quality within a high-tech manufacturing setting. This opportunity is particularly suited for recent graduates holding Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma qualifications who enjoy practical technical work and problem-solving with advanced automated systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical faults.
• Continuously monitor equipment performance and promptly address alarms or abnormal behavior.
• Assist in equipment recovery and restoration processes to reduce downtime.
• Perform calibration and qualification tasks on equipment to maintain optimal functionality.
• Accurately document maintenance activities and records.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to boost equipment performance and dependability.
• Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing personnel, and vendors to support production operations.
• Adhere strictly to cleanroom standards, safety protocols, and operating procedures.
• Leverage approved AI-based and digital tools to enhance troubleshooting and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to process enhancement projects and share ideas to improve equipment uptime, productivity, quality, and safety.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Educational background: Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related fields.
• Availability to work 12-hour shifts.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in using basic hand tools and measurement instruments.
• Basic computer skills and ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, coupled with a willingness to learn.
• Preferred qualifications include previous internship or project experience with equipment maintenance, exposure to semiconductor or manufacturing environments, and familiarity with automation systems.
• Capability to use AI-enabled tools responsibly for diagnostics, learning, analysis, and operational support.
