Job Overview

The role of Engineering Logistics Portal (ELP) Operator involves managing all repairable Typhoon assets that have failed at the Forward location, overseeing their progression through Quality Gate, Engineering Tasking, and Repair Scheduling phases. This position demands close collaboration with the Part M engineer, Repairs Inventory Planner, and Part M Repair Scheduler.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure completion and accurate documentation of all ML2 and ML4 activities and transactions within the IMS system.
• Assist daily operational activities, including facilitating and managing review meetings as necessary.
• Effectively manage demand for ML2/ML4 tasks to meet delivery goals, track performance against contract KPIs, and address any shortfalls through resolution or escalation.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including inventory planning, procurement, engineering, finance, maintenance, and external service providers and partners.
• Analyze usage and transaction data to detect recurring issues and communicate findings to relevant parties, supporting corrective actions when needed.
• Speed up processing for urgently needed items and help team members meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.
• Contribute to establishing and developing supply chain operations infrastructure and continuously improve procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
• Mentor new QEAF personnel from Qatar Technical Institute in repair tasks.
• Ensure ML2 and ML4 assets are properly routed through the Engineering Portal for quality checks and repair scheduling, meeting DF&P standards.
• Coordinate regular Repair Reviews guaranteeing timely delivery of items to internal customers.
• Use performance data and metrics to report successes and potential issues to senior management.
• Ensure service levels meet agreed business KPIs, especially supporting the QEAF Typhoon Fleet with timely and high-quality deliveries.

Accountabilities

• Meet business objectives with effective asset management, monitoring trends, resolving problems, and escalating when necessary to mitigate impact on airworthiness or KPIs.
• Maintain compliance with QEAF CAME/145 MOE procedures and standards.
• Apply human factors, risk, error, and safety management principles within Part M and 145 maintenance areas.
• Ensure demand management aligns with Part M procedures and Part 145 governance; support audits and promptly address findings.
• Stay current with Continuing Airworthiness Regulatory Framework, ITAR/WOME, and relevant legislation, advising the organization on updates.
• Maintain awareness of contractual requirements and integrate changes into operational activities.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience with operational supply chains within Continuous Airworthiness Organisations, understanding protocols and asset requirement gathering and interpretation.
• Established relationships across maintenance operations and related functions such as procurement, engineering, suppliers, partners, and customers.
• Knowledge of ML2/ML4 activity constraints, lead times, and prioritization, with proactive planning to minimize urgent demands.
• A basic functional awareness expected to develop over time, emphasizing continuous improvement and capability building.
• Strong analytical, planning, relationship-building, problem-solving, and IT system skills.
• Competence in Supply Chain and Maintenance operations teamwork, capable of defining, improving, and managing process enhancements.
• Possession of a valid driving licence.
• Desirable but not required: Institute of Supply Chain Management Level 3 certification or equivalent.
