Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere fully to departmental protocols, service procedures, and standards.
  • Follow strict tag-out and lock-out safety procedures when servicing electrical machinery.
  • Use all mandated personal protective equipment during duties.
  • Diagnose faults in wiring, switches, motors, and electrical devices with test instruments including ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, and test lamps.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations to prevent downtime.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize unexpected breakdowns.
  • Be ready to respond swiftly to electrical emergencies.
  • Ensure proper lighting maintenance across all facilities.
  • Maintain electrical distribution panels and circuit breakers in good condition.
  • Inspect and service low-voltage electrical rooms and related equipment to guarantee operational safety and efficiency.
  • Test circuit breakers regularly, lubricate, clean, and replace parts as necessary to prevent overloads and short circuits.
  • Examine equipment, lighting, signaling, communication, and power circuits for safety and function.
  • Promptly report any irregular findings or electrical hazards to the Director or Assistant Director of Engineering.
  • Coordinate daily tasks and follow up on maintenance job logs with supervisors and duty engineers.
  • Communicate effectively about maintenance duration, ensuring transparency.
  • Close out maintenance requests appropriately using communication devices upon job completion.
  • Respond immediately to service requests, assistance calls, and emergency work orders through the Knowcross system.
  • Maintain manual and electronic operations logs and meter reading records.
  • Keep work premises orderly and clean after every job.
  • Provide daily progress reports to supervisors before the end of each shift.
  • Log all work activities before leaving duties.
  • Observe all departmental policies and hotel procedures, especially when entering guest rooms for repairs.
  • Maintain stringent safety standards in all work areas.
  • Understand and adhere to all hotel fire and emergency protocols.
  • Work collaboratively within the engineering team to meet department objectives.
  • Ensure all electrical rooms, workshops, and equipment are clean and fully operational.
  • Maintain and repair guest rooms and public spaces following the Perfect Room Program standards.
  • Report any incidents or injuries immediately to relevant authorities.
  • Participate actively in all safety trainings, inductions, and toolbox talks arranged by the Health & Safety Manager.
