About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished Engineer specializing in Production and Production Systems Optimization to enhance production planning, forecasting, performance monitoring, and drive operational improvements within a complex industrial setting. The selected candidate will be instrumental in boosting production efficiency, refining asset performance, advancing digital transformation efforts, and utilizing sophisticated analytics to achieve operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Petroleum Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
- Has a minimum of 10 years professional experience relevant to the role.
- Includes at least 7 years of experience in sectors such as Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Energy, Utilities, or similar process-driven industries.
- Demonstrates a solid grasp of production systems, wells, processing facilities, and operational limitations.
- Familiar with production planning software, hydrocarbon accounting procedures, and real-time production monitoring platforms.
- Exhibits strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting abilities, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Shows a keen interest in digital oilfield technologies, advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence, and tools for operational optimization.
Key Competencies
- Engineering of production systems and managing facility performance.
- Expertise in production planning, scheduling, forecasting, and optimization techniques.

Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate and optimize production planning, forecasting, scheduling, and deferment processes adhering to industry standards.
- Create production plans for short, medium, and long-term horizons balancing operational and commercial needs.
- Generate forecasts on daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual bases.
- Analyze discrepancies between planned and actual production to recommend improvements.
- Incorporate maintenance shutdowns, operational constraints, and facility capacity into planning models.
- Oversee performance of wells, assets, and facilities to identify constraints, inefficiencies, and production losses.
- Propose initiatives for production optimization, bottleneck removal, and operational enhancements.
- Manage real-time monitoring systems, data storage, and operational dashboards.
- Develop and sustain production performance indicators, scorecards, and reporting tools for management.
- Ensure integration of production monitoring with planning and business information systems.
- Support digital transformation efforts, including advanced analytics and machine learning aimed at enhancing production efficiency.
- Participate in deploying AI-driven solutions for forecasting, optimization, and deferment analysis.
- Conduct scenario modeling and sensitivity studies to aid informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with diverse departments such as Operations, Maintenance, Planning, Commercial, Digital, and IT to maintain production and business alignment.
Additional Requirements
- Deep understanding of operational excellence, production performance management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Prior experience working within multidisciplinary and diverse cultural environments.
- Willingness to perform both office-based tasks and fieldwork or site visits as needed.
