Planning Data & Business Intelligence Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Planning Data & Business Intelligence Analyst to enhance production planning, hydrocarbon accounting, operational efficiency, and digital transformation efforts within a multifaceted industrial setting. The role demands expertise in advanced analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, and AI to improve decision-making, streamline reporting procedures, and foster operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in fields such as Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related areas.
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience relevant to the role.
• At least 5 years in sectors like Oil & Gas, Energy, Industrial Operations, Manufacturing, or Data Analytics.
• Basic exposure to production planning, performance monitoring, and hydrocarbon accounting is preferred.
• Knowledge of digital technologies, industrial data frameworks, and business intelligence tools.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking aptitudes.
• Effective communication and presentation skills are essential.
• Interest and willingness to engage with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and advanced analytical technologies.

Core Competencies

• Experience with Business Intelligence and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar platforms.
• Expertise in data engineering, including SQL, ETL processes, and data integration.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks like Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, among others.
• Ability to develop data visualizations, dashboards, and executive reports.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for modeling, trend analysis, and automating reports.
• Understanding of production data management and performance monitoring systems.
• Competence in presentation and process visualization software like PowerPoint and Visio.
• Experience supporting digital transformation, automating reports, and enabling data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage Business Intelligence dashboards to support production planning, operational metrics, and business reporting needs.
• Optimize reporting processes by automating workflows through BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Develop interactive visual reports to aid decisions at both operational and leadership levels.
• Combine and harmonize data from various operational and business information systems.
• Maintain high standards of data quality, consistency, reliability, and governance.
• Implement and refine ETL workflows, data pipelines, and datasets for analysis.
• Design and assist AI/ML models for forecasting, identifying anomalies, optimizing performance, and supporting decisions.
• Contribute to predictive analytics projects focused on reliability, efficiency, and loss minimization.
• Facilitate integration of advanced analytics with production, planning, and business platforms.
• Conduct scenario and "what-if" analysis to enhance operational and business outcomes.
• Apply AI, RPA, and cutting-edge digital tools to automate manual reporting and planning tasks.
• Uphold rigorous data governance, security, compliance, and audit practices for analytics outputs.
• Provide training, assistance, and knowledge-sharing to business users.
• Collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Digital, IT, and business units to identify improvement paths driven by data insights.
