Lead Data Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to head our data engineering division, tasked with designing, developing, and enhancing data infrastructure. This role is critical in enabling data-driven initiatives by ensuring smooth data flow across various systems and teams. Working closely with data scientists and analysts, you will convert unprocessed data into strategic insights, promoting a culture grounded in innovation and accuracy.

This position requires a visionary leader capable of managing intricate projects and providing mentorship to a team of proficient engineers. You will be responsible for defining the technical roadmap, implementing best practices, and delivering superior quality outcomes. Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and construction of scalable data systems and pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in data engineering or equivalent roles.
• Strong command of SQL and relational database systems.
• Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience working with cloud data platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Excellent analytical skills with close attention to detail.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams.

Compensation

The monthly salary range for this role is between NGN 2,500,000 and NGN 3,000,000.
