Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Software Engineer specialized in Human Data Platforms to design, develop, and maintain scalable data systems focusing on human-generated datasets. The role emphasizes handling large-scale data infrastructures with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and security.
Responsibilities
- Create and optimize data pipelines capable of processing extensive human-generated data efficiently.
- Develop backend services supporting both real-time and batch data workflows.
- Work closely with data scientists and analysts to maintain data integrity and ensure data accessibility.
- Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to uphold platform stability.
- Participate in architectural decisions aimed at boosting scalability and platform performance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in backend programming using Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with distributed systems frameworks like Kafka, Spark, or equivalent.
- Familiar with cloud-based data infrastructure platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and querying.
- Understanding of principles concerning data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Skilled in designing and optimizing data pipelines for scalable and high-performance applications.
- Hands-on knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to debugging complex system issues.
