Engineer Lead

Role Overview

This position involves installing, maintaining, and performing preventive maintenance on electrical tools, devices, and equipment. The engineer will be responsible for calibrating all control and measuring instruments, gauges, and identifying as well as operating all equipment shutoff valves. Proper management of spare parts and supplies, including ordering, labeling, and storage, and maintaining inventory and purchase order records is expected.

Operational Duties

• Inspect and control tools, equipment, and machinery regularly.
• Use computer systems to access and retrieve professional information.
• Operate elevator systems when required.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, advising, enforcing discipline policies, motivating, and supporting staff while setting a positive example within the department.
• Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures; promptly report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Participate in safety trainings and attain necessary certifications; manage proper storage of flammable materials.
• Maintain a clean, complete work uniform and uphold a professional appearance at all times.
• Anticipate and address client maintenance needs proactively.
• Communicate clearly and professionally; prepare and edit documents with accuracy and thoroughness.
• Build and sustain positive professional relationships; listen attentively and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards; identify, recommend, develop and implement new workflows to enhance efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost savings.
• Physically handle moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or placing loads up to 12 kilograms independently.
• Climb stairs, service accesses, or ladders safely; work on slippery, uneven, or inclined surfaces.
• Perform knee extensions and flexions including bending, turning, pulling, and stooping as needed.
• Sustain long periods of standing, sitting, and moving around.
• Carry out additional job-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational diploma from a recognized institution.
• 4 to 6 years of related work experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver's license is mandatory.
