Electrician

Position Summary

This role involves assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using manual and power tools. The electrician is responsible for inspecting and diagnosing malfunctions in tools, equipment, electrical systems, and components. They connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components while utilizing testing instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes. Tasks also include testing batteries in emergency equipment like generators and lighting, as well as planning layouts for electrical wiring and equipment installations following job specifications along with national and local electrical codes. The role requires interpreting and adhering to blueprints and schematics, responding promptly to repair requests, conducting preventative maintenance, and managing inventory for maintenance parts and supplies.

Additional Duties

Adherence to company safety and security procedures is mandatory, with the expectation to report any maintenance concerns, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly. Completion of safety training and certifications and appropriate handling and storage of flammable materials are required. Confidentiality regarding proprietary company information and protection of company assets must be maintained.
Guest interaction is part of the role, involving welcoming guests per company standards, anticipating and addressing their service requirements, aiding individuals with disabilities, and showing genuine appreciation. The position demands building positive working relationships with colleagues, effective listening, clear and professional communication, and accurate preparation and review of information in various formats.
Physical requirements include the capacity to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds unassisted, as well as fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for handling objects of different sizes and weights. Additional tasks may be assigned by supervisors as necessary.

Qualifications

Preferred: Completion of a technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the field.
Supervisory Experience: None required.
Licensing: Possession of a valid driver's license.
