Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for an Employee Relations Manager who is dedicated to fostering a workplace that is positive, respectful, and productive. This role focuses on delivering employee relations initiatives, advising leadership on workplace topics, assisting with conflict resolution, and applying company policies and procedures consistently.
Key Responsibilities
The position collaborates closely with employees, managers, and HR teams to resolve concerns, improve communication, and enhance employee engagement and workplace culture. It requires supporting investigations, handling disciplinary actions, managing grievances, contributing to policy development, and aiding organizational change projects while upholding confidentiality and fairness.
Candidate Profile
The ideal individual shows balanced employee advocacy alongside business considerations, exercises sound judgment, and possesses strong interpersonal abilities.
Qualifications and Skills Needed
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Employment Relations, Law, or similar fields.
- Deep understanding of employee relations concepts, workplace regulations, HR practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent skills in communication, active listening, mediation, negotiation, and resolving conflicts.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost professionalism and discretion.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Competence in interpreting policies and delivering straightforward, actionable advice to both employees and managers.
- High organizational ability with meticulous attention to detail and strong follow-through.
- Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office; familiarity with HR analytics and case management systems is advantageous.
- Empathy, fairness, a proactive approach, and dedication to supporting a healthy, diverse, and inclusive workplace environment.
