ELK Administrator

About the Role

We seek an experienced ELK Administrator / Elastic Stack Engineer to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney. This position focuses on the hands-on administration and enhancement of large-scale monitoring, logging, and observability environments utilizing the Elastic Stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise ELK environments across both production and non-production platforms.
• Administer components such as Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats, and related integrations.
• Design and deploy solutions for monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Lead or assist with platform upgrades, migrations, and enhancements.
• Identify and resolve performance issues, ensure availability, and troubleshoot technical problems.
• Create scalable alerting, reporting, and monitoring systems.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and platform teams.
• Provide ongoing support for business-as-usual environments including incident management and occasional after-hours support.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrable hands-on experience as an ELK Administrator or Elastic Stack Engineer in enterprise settings.
• Current, practical knowledge of Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana implementations.
• Expertise in ELK setup, configuration, upgrades, and migration procedures.
• Proficient in monitoring, alerting systems, performance tuning, and troubleshooting within ELK environments.
• Experience in developing logging and observability solutions.
• Comfortable maintaining enterprise production environments.
• Must be an Australian Citizen with an active Baseline security clearance.

Additional Information

Location: Melbourne or Sydney
Salary Range: $120,000 to $130,000 inclusive of superannuation
Security Requirements: Active baseline security clearance mandatory
