The role of Electricity Programme Insights Analyst is integral to shaping Vector's electricity business strategy. This position involves transforming complex information related to programmes, finance, operations, and delivery into actionable insights. Working closely with teams in Operations & Maintenance, Connections, and Capital Programme Delivery, this role provides a comprehensive and integrated view of portfolio performance to support high-level decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze trends within the electricity portfolio to identify risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
• Integrate and interpret data from multiple sources to develop evidence-based recommendations for investment, prioritization, and delivery strategies.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to present clear, data-driven insights that inform strategic planning and asset management decisions.
• Challenge assumptions constructively and provide alternative options to enhance programme outcomes.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in analyzing complex programmes, projects, portfolios, or business performance, preferably within sectors such as infrastructure, utilities, energy, capital delivery, PMO, portfolio management, or finance.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen, capable of handling budgets, forecasts, actuals, accruals, commitments, and programme performance metrics.
• Advanced expertise in Excel and data analytics, with the ability to extract insights from large, multifaceted datasets and reconcile information across various sources.
• A strategic thinker with excellent judgement, able to assess stakeholder needs, identify key risks and opportunities, and produce actionable insights.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage constructively and present findings persuasively to senior stakeholders.
• Desirable experience includes prior involvement in the electricity sector, familiarity with Lean methodologies, and supporting strategic planning and investment decisions.
