About the Role
WPS is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join its Reactive Maintenance team focused on social housing contracts, based at Walton-on-Thames and servicing surrounding areas. The role involves delivering high-quality electrical maintenance and repairs in vacant properties, emphasizing a first-time fix approach with excellent customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive electrical testing and issue Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs.
- Install fans and undertake core drilling as required.
- Replace and clean electrical accessories.
- Carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) for tools and appliances.
- Adhere to health and safety standards and safeguarding policies while working.
- Collaborate with other trade professionals to successfully complete repair tasks.
- Maintain accurate job records and material usage reports via PDA technology.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation.
- Hold valid Inspection and Testing credentials such as the 2391 or equivalent certification.
- Comply with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Hold a full UK driving license.

The ideal applicant will be a confident and dependable Electrician capable of independently managing workloads, handling small-scale projects and repairs, and preferably experienced within the social housing maintenance sector. Reliability, proactivity, and a commitment to delivering excellent workmanship are essential traits.

Candidates will be required to undergo a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the hiring process.
